Day 113 | Poor Performers Are Right
The Harvard Business Review recently quoted a study of poor performers who think they are right 70% of the time.
In reality on the testing they were right 0% - none of the time.
What is the problem?
Bad Bosses. These leaders:
- Hired the poor performers.
- Failed to manage them to achieve and hold them accountable.
- Did not develop the poor performers natural strengths or appeal to their key motivators.
- Retained them even when they were not performing well.
If you are struggling in any of these areas, email me. A lot of the work I do is getting employees back on track... or out the door.
It is Monday. ACCOUNTABILITY TIME! (You should have done the following, at a minimum, in your Sanctuary time since late last Friday.)
- Review your 2014 goals.
- How did you do on your 3Strands last week?
- If you have defined your 3Strands for this week?
Stay on track.
